You know your child is capable, yet something about learning seems much harder than it should be.
Perhaps you're beginning to wonder whether there's an underlying reason. Whatever has brought you here, we'll work together to make sense of what you're seeing, understand what it means and help you find the best way forward for your child.

Understanding is where the journey begins, but it doesn't stop there. Everything I do is built around three simple ideas: understanding what's really happening, advocating for what your child needs and navigating the system with confidence, moving you from uncertainty to confidence one step at a time.
Make sense of what's happening
Every child is different. Together, we’ll build a clear picture of your child’s strengths, difficulties and needs, and help you understand what these mean.
Build confidence, for you and your child
Understanding helps you ask the right questions, work positively with school and make informed decisions. As your child grows, they can also begin to understand and advocate for their own needs.
Move forward with clarity
There is no single path for every family. Whether you’re considering an assessment, supporting your child at home, working with school or thinking about the future, you’ll be better equipped to take the next step.

Every child is unique, and so is every family. That’s why I begin by listening.
Together, we’ll build a clear picture of what is happening, what is worrying you most and what your child needs. I’ll explain things clearly, draw on evidence and specialist experience, and help you make informed decisions without pressure.

I’ve spent my career trying to understand why some children find maths so much harder than it should be.
One child brought that question into even sharper focus. She was bright, curious and an excellent reader and writer, yet maths was completely different. She worked incredibly hard, but I knew this was not about intelligence or effort.
That experience led me to dyscalculia and reinforced something I had believed throughout my career: When we understand what is really happening, we can change not only how a child learns, but how they see themselves.

"We liked the opportunity to meet Alice online for a no obligation chat, it helped to talk through the process and we felt like we’d got to know Alice before heading over for the actual assessment. Alice is warm and friendly and has a genuine interest in Katie’s life and interests.
At the assessment, Alice went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. We had travelled quite some distance for the assessment and Alice was careful to build in a rest break for Katie. The process of being assessed and talking about dyscalculia brought it all to the front of our minds and made us think about the difficulties Katie faces every day.
I felt quite sad by the end of the day but Alice had provided the outcome in a genuine and kind way and followed up with some useful tips and coping strategies for Katie. Dyscalculia has rather more recognition now than when Katie was at school and as a parent I’d recommend getting an assessment as soon as possible, it could help to secure much needed understanding and support."

"Following the training, we have a much clearer understanding of what dyscalculia can look like in the classroom and the strategies that can be used to identify, support and help pupils who may have this condition. I would recommend this training to all schools. While there is a strong awareness and understanding of dyslexia within education, dyscalculia is often less well understood. This training helps to address that gap and provides valuable practical guidance for staff."

"What changed for me was knowing the best way to support the pupils I had concerns about and feeling confident that this was the right approach. The pupils showed a significant improvement in their self-belief and confidence. They no longer felt 'rubbish at maths' but realised there was a specific reason they find some elements of maths difficult."
